Ultrasound appointment made..

Kloe is scheduled to have an ultrasound to see if she is in fact pregnant on April 4th at 10a.m. She will be 30 days pregnant if she is bred and we should be able to get a little idea as to how many pups she is carrying... just for basic knowledge canine gestation is 63 days. If she is bred then we will have an x-ray around 58 days. Keep your fingers crossed! And right now she is acting like there is nothing in the world happening. I do so hope that there is something wonderful happening!! I did measure her waist at the beginning and she was 28" so I will measure her again when we go to get the ultrasound.

It took a little time and patience but Adeline finally got Kloe to stand somewhat correctly...she is truely a farm girl and isn't in to the pretty girl stuff!
Kloe was bred the second time on Friday the 5th and now puppies should be due sometime around May 7th. We will get an ultra sound 28 days from the first breeding to see if she is pregnant.
The trip home from WI was uneventful and she was very happy to be home with Ed and mom, Anja. Check in again around the 4th of April for ultrasound results.

Kloe had an uneventful night at the Comfort Suites. She is becoming quite the city girl...pig smell and all.

We are here in Milwaukee, WI and Kloe and "Roger" are now a family?? We had an outside tie...Kloe did wonderful and Roger didn't seem to complain that she smelledd fresh off the hog farm! Will update again on Friday...planned breeding is for 11:30. You can count 63 days from today and that will be our first due date.

Good morning...well, the cells are probalby 70% cornified so we are off. Not sure if we will get a breeding this evening but she is on her way to 100% cornified so we should be able to get something done by Friday/Saturday. Anja(Kloe's mom) is concerned that she gets to go in the Explorer all the time and she not! And Kloe I am sure would rather be home helping Ed with the hogs. Oh well...we have bigger and better things in store. Ok, "Roger" here we come you will meet your girlfriend soon.

Kloe smells much better after her bath. The p.m. smear was no better so we will wait till Wed. at 7:30a.m. to see if she is indeed progressing...hopefully yes!!!!!! Will post again then.

Weather is nasty and Kloe is filthy. I asked Ed not to let her out when he went to chore....he has this short term memory block and within 5 minutes he forgot ....ugh! So I had to find her outside with him before we could journey to the vet....and yes, she is all mud. The smear doesn't look much different...she is progressing slowly. She is getting a bath today so we will smear her again at 4:30 when I pick her up...maybe there will be some little sign of change then??? So we wait for mother nature to do her thing!

Forgot to tell everyone that we went to the vet yesterday and the smear is about the same so we wait patiently. Will see the vet again tomorrow at 7:30a.m. for another staging smear and then she is getting a bath....much to her humiliation.....but the hog manure smell has to go! I will not ride three hours in a vehicle with her smelling like that, not to mention the motel or her boyfriend!!
